The ASN Inter-University Neurology Quiz 2023 was held on the 9th of July, 2023 at Courtyard by Marriott Colombo. All Sri Lankan universities that have a medicine program competed for the coveted championship!
The Quizmasters for this year were Dr AT Alibhoy, and Dr Saamir Mohideen, Consultant Neurologists. The teams competed in two rounds testing their knowledge in basic, applied and clinical sciences in neurology as well as history of neurology.
Teams were scored using a state-of-the-art audience response system that tested not only if they could answer correctly, but also the speed at which they raced to answer. A total of 40 questions saw the lead changing hands multiple times, but during the last few questions one team managed to take the championship with a nail-bitingly close battle.
University of Colombo emerged Champions of the ASN Inter-University Neurology Quiz 2023, with first-runner up as University of Ruhuna and 2nd runner-up as University of Kelaniya.
